Lennox Head moved into second spot on the ladder with a solid 3 - 1 win over Rovers on Saturday which looking ahead to this weekend should set up another cracker of a game when they meet local rivals Ballina.

The Seahorses were just outclassed last week succumbing to a rampant Byron Bay 2 - 1.  Although the scoreline looks deceptive the Ballina lads only hit form when Clint Colless and Justin Stockham were introduced late in the game.

Goonellabah will have to play to their best when they meet Thistles away and given recent form for both teams this match could go either way.

Casino this weekend will have a tough one when they start Beef Week celebrations against Byron.  The Cobras may just catch the Rams in a complacent mood so watch out for an upset here.

Workers FC will host Maclean and with both teams having mixed results of late this too could go either way.  For the winners a top four spot will be cemented for the next few weeks giving them some security.

Sunday football also returns with a local derby between Rovers and Stars.  Stars had a great result last week banging in 6 against Casino while Rovers have lost two on the trot.  This should prove to be the match of the round.
