FFA announce major changes to the management of Football across the nation.

In overnight announcements Football Federation Australia are again piloting a course of change for the management of Football across the country.

In the first announcement the FFA have advised that they will introduce National Regulations which will govern the management of Football from local leagues to the A-League commencing in January 2007. These regulations have been lodged with FIFA for their approval and are set for implementation in the new year.

FFNC General Manager Matt Kelso remains optimistic at this time but stated “the big test for us at zone level will be the dissemination of the regulations and how FFA plan their implementation. From our perspective we would like to have these details at the end of this season so we can organise our annual seminars and run education campaigns for our club administrators. We don’t want to be playing catch up in February.”

In the second FFA announcement the National Coaching Accreditation System has been overhauled which will have a direct impact on the coaching courses FFNC will operate in 2007.

The new system should provide club coaches a more affordable and attainable FFA accreditation, however at this stage only details concerning the advanced courses have been made public.
