Beware Private Holiday Clinics

Thursday, March 22nd, 2007

Football Far North Coast advise all players and parents that a number of private operators are running school holiday clinics over the Easter period.

These operators are not endorsed by FFNC/Northern NSW Football or FFA and are not members of the Football Family. They exist for private profit only.

We advise that players will not be covered under FFNC/Northern NSW Football Insurance for their participation in these events. Please ensure your child has private health cover or the operator provides accident insurance over and above any public liability insurance policy.

To be satisfied that your money is invested back into football activities on a local level and that your child is covered for any injury they may sustain only enrol in FFNC or FFA approved activities.

Byron Bay tipped to take the title - you said so!!

Monday, March 12th, 2007

Yes! you said Byron were the team to beat in the latest poll on www.footballfarnorthcoast.com.au.

With over 190 votes processed Byron came out on top with Goonellabah, Lennox and Rovers rounding out the top four.

Surprisingly Maclean and Bangalow are rated for relegation if your votes are anything to go by - or maybe it’s just that the internet hasn’t yet reached the clarence or bluedog territory.

Stay tuned for what happens next -we’ll see if your predictions are proven correct.

Tursa move to support Pre-Season competitions

Monday, March 12th, 2007

Tursa Employment & Training have moved their support of football from the Men’s Premier League over to the coveted pre-season competitions in a shift of focus for the regions largest employment agency.

The ANZAC Cup and the Callan McMillan Memorial Shield will now wear the badge of Tursa with marketing manager Glenn Costello pleased at the change of focus.

“Our long standing committment to football on the far north coast has always been fresh and focused on innovation and change. The move to change support from the Premier League to the Pre-Season fits in with our philisophy of providing opportunities to people to gain initial employment, the Tursa Pre-season will also fill that transitional role of helping players get back into shape and prepare for the long year ahead,” Costello said.

The Tursa Pre-season for 2007 will provide competition for men in the ANZAC Cup in Premier Division, Open A Open B and Grade 16, while the Callen McMillan Shield will give our local women the chance to prepare in A Division, B Division and for the first time a Grade 16 competition.
