Workers and Alstonville to meet in Play Off Final
Workers FCÂ edged past a determined South Lismore 3 - 1 on Tuesday night in stage 1 of the battle for the Holy Grail - a place in the 2008 Premiership.
Workers Todd Gordon bagged a double to help Workers take the advantage while defender Daune Hoare chimed in with the decisive strike. For South Lismore Leigh Simpson grabbed the all important equaliser just before half time but the celtics could not find any way past a resolute Workers rearguard during the second period.
Workers FC will now face off against Alstonville in the final next Tuesday night at Oakes Oval after the villa were gifted a forfeit by fellow contenders Tweed Heads.
