FINAL SERIES FORMAT
(a) Semi-final and preliminary final fixtures will be allocated to the home ground of the competing team that finished highest on the point score at the discretion of The Zone.
(b) Junior Finals – The four teams with the highest point score will play-off to decide the Grand Final Winners and Runners-up for that Division in accordance with the following formula:
Week 1 – Fixture A – 3 v 4 – Loser out
– Fixture B – 1 v 2 - Winner to Grand Final (Fixture D)
Week 2 – Fixture C – Loser B v Winner A (Loser Out)
Week 3 – Fixture D-Winner B v Winner C
Fixtures A, B & C: If the fixtures are drawn at full time there will be 5 minutes extra time each way for the Grade 10 & 11 age groups and 10 minutes extra time each way for the Grade 12 to 18 age groups inclusive. If fixtures are still drawn, the team which finished highest on the pointscore shall advance.
Fixture D: Grand Final: If the fixture is drawn at full time there will be 5 minutes extra time each way for the Grade 10 & Grade 11 age groups and 10 minutes extra time each way for the Grade 12 to Grade 18 age groups inclusive. If the fixture is still drawn at the end of extra time, Joint Premiers will be declared for Grades 10 to 14. There will be a penalty shoot-out to determine the Grand Final Winner for Grade 15 to 18.
(c) Senior Finals – The five teams with the highest pointscore will play off to decide the Grand Final Winner for that Division in accordance with the following formula:
Week 1 – Fixture A - 4 v 5 (Loser out)
- Fixture B - 2 v 3
Week 2 – Fixture C – Loser B v Winner A (Loser Out)
– Fixture D - 1 v Winner B
Week 3 – Fixture E -Loser D v Winner C (Loser Out)
Week 4 – Fixture F-Winner D v Winner E
Fixtures A, B, C, D E & F: If the fixtures are drawn at full time, there will be 10 minutes extra time each way. If fixtures are still drawn there will be a penalty shoot-out to determine the winner.
